Jewelry Care

How to care for your new unique piece of jewelry

Solid Brass

Solid brass is a gorgeous metal with amazing properties that allow these pieces to age gracefully. Brass is a resilient alloy, comprised of copper and zinc, that is resistant to corrosion. While the integrity of the metal remains, brass does naturally oxidize as it's exposed to the atmosphere. This results in a beautiful patina. If you would like to prevent this layer from developing or slow it's process, we suggest keeping your pieces in an air-tight jewely box. This layer of oxidation can also be removed through the use of gentle acidic jewelry solutions. If you would like to send your jewelry in for a polish, please feel free to contact us!

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a rust and corrosion resistant alloy. It's hypoallergenic, making it a great choice for those with sensitive skin. This metal can be easily cleaned using a clean towel dipped in warm water and mild dishwashing soap. Once clean, allow them to completely air dry before putting away.

Resin/Polymer Clay

Many of these jewelry pieces are made using polymer clay with a light coating of resin to preserve real flowers and to keep them lightweight. Over time, fingerprints and smudges may build on the resin coating. This can be easily cleaned and shined using a clean cloth with warm gentle soap or a dry microfiber cloth. If using water and/or soap, be sure to fully dry the pieces before storing them away.
